Who is Angela?
My passion for supporting new parents began at 19, when I interned at a pregnancy home in Southwestern Ontario while studying Social Service Work at Centennial College. It was there that I first witnessed the realities of crisis pregnancy.
Years later, during my second pregnancy in 2003, I unexpectedly faced much of my pregnancy and birth without my former spouse. Though this was not what I had planned, the support of my sister and a close friend made all the difference. That experience clarified my calling: no birthing person should feel alone during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum.
I went on to volunteer as a birth coach with the Pregnancy Care Centre in Toronto, supporting four births and walking alongside mothers prenatally and postpartum. Knowing I wanted to serve families well, I completed my training with Doula Canada, certifying in June 2021.
As your doula, I offer compassionate, non-judgmental, evidence-based support through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum.

As your Doula, I will provide you with the tools, resources, support and information to contribute to your hopeful expectations. Catchment area covers all of York Region. There may be flexibility to provide support to clients outside York Region - just reach out.
